Things I like about this build:
While not a unique project by any means, I've included it in my personal project highlight list because it represents a number of 1st time skills learned. Specifically, I am very proud of the cabinetry work, the cabinets came out really well considering it was the first time I've tried to make my own cabinets. While not perfect, it is a good reminder that "doing" gets things done.
Things I don't like:
I'm not a huge fan of the floor tiles or the wall color. I blame the wall color on my wife, lol, but I actively selected the floor tiles. Matte finish floor tiles show dirt quickly and there is not much you can do to prevent it (I've spent more time adding and removing floor sealers than I did on actually installing).
Closing thoughts:
While not a project I was personally anticipating undertaking, I'm glad my wife pushed me. The results came out good, and we saved a lot of money compared to hiring a contractor. Not sure I want to tile ever again, but I am glad I did it and learned a lot.
